If your baby is suffering from nappy rash, you can use Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream to soothe and heal your baby’s skin. However, the very best way to deal with nappy rash is to help prevent it in the first place by using Sudocrem Care & Protect at every nappy change.
If you are using a nappy rash cream and the symptoms persist or your baby develops a bright red, moist rash with white or red pimples which spreads to the folds of the skin, then your baby may have a thrush infection. You will need to use an anti-fungal cream, available from the pharmacist or on prescription from your doctor. Ask your GP, pharmacist or health visitor for advice.
Occasionally nappy rash can become persistent or can be related to other skin conditions like eczema. If you’re at all worried it’s a good idea to speak to your doctor or health visitor.
Apply a thin layer on cleansed and dry skin at every nappy change.
Step 1: Clean your hands carefully before taking care of the baby
Step 2: Prepare wet cloth with warm water or wet wipes. Remove the old nappy
Step 3: Clean the nappy area thoroughly from the front to the back. Leave the baby's bottom exposed to air for 2-3 mins.
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of Sudocrem® on the cleaned skin to protect the baby's skin from nappy wetness.
Step 5: Put on a new nappy that suits your baby's age and weight. Remember to change the nappy regularly
